For many, admitting that something just feels “off” is hard – you may feel like a failure, or guilty that you’re struggling to help those around you.

Tip 7: Say Out Loud The Things You’re Grateful For

When you’re dealing with burnout, it can feel like life is a series of one bad thing after another. But let’s be real: no matter how awful your day/week has been, there’s probably been at least 1 positive thing that happened to you.

Focus on that, and turn it into a kind of mantra. Get in front of the mirror and go over with yourself the positive things that happened in your life recently.

This can be as simply as “a woman gave me her seat on the subway when she saw my heavy bags” or as big as “I got a raise!”

This will not only encourage positive vibes to enter your mind, it will also help to reframe how you think about life and its experiences.

Tip 8: Get Out In Nature

If you’re interested in spirituality, you’ve likely already experienced the healing effects of spending a little time with Mother Nature.

Tip 9: Know The Signs of Burnot – And Monitor Yourself

If you feel yourself starting to slip, warning signs of impending negative energy include:

  • Increased cynisism
  • A loss of productivity
  • Quickness to anger
  • Self-medicating
